While almost all of the younger generation uses tablets, a large majority is oblivious to the constructive uses of such devices, primarily engaging in game play and media consumption. On the contrary, people in US and other places are working hard to make other uses of iPads and tablets, and are developing a plethora of apps which can be used for learning animation, coding, sculpting, etc.
AppTuner aims to work at the interface of the learners and the developers, providing a platform for constructive use of tablets/iPads. The program is already running in one center in Gurgaon, and another center is being opened in Delhi.
We are looking for appropriate personnel in two roles, as described below. The openings for these roles in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, with the first preference for filling the positions in Delhi. In this role, AppTuner is looking for tech savvy people having a flair for education. The Program Designer will be working on researching apps, connecting with app developers across the world, selecting the best possible apps, and designing projects/individual lesson plans around the selected apps. This person will also be responsible for implementing the lesson plans in different classroom settings, and refining them as per the feedback received from the participants.
The minimum requirement for the job is 1-2 years of teaching children with a flair for technology gadgets like the iPad and Tablets. Knowledge of curriculum design will be an added advantage.
Here, AppTuner is looking for a young energetic person, with an experience of selling, preferably in education sector. The role will primarily involve B2C sales, the job requiring the person to expand the programs’s outreach to parents through guerilla marketing, social networking, etc.
The role will also involve B2B sales, with the Marketing Head reaching out to different schools to send fliers to parents, and setting up stall in PTMs for connecting first hand with parents. In addition, the role will cover design of communication (verbal/graphical) to parents, students and schools, and finding appropriate channels to reach out to the relevant audience.
An experience of selling for 2-3 years is a must, and an MBA degree would be preferred.
