Academic Consulting & Tutoring Services
Customized High School Plan Our academic team helps students to develop a customized plan for each student regarding their high school life, both in academics and socialization. We help prepare students to be goal-oriented. In specific, this plan covers school clubs, activities, community services, test preparation, school work, course planning and social life. Every month we follow up with students in terms of their plan. We also give awards at the end of each school year after we evaluate students’ performance. We help students to update and revise the plan based on their accomplishment.
Tutoring Program AnB’s Tutoring Program offers support and help on our international students’ academics. We provide a wide range of tutoring sessions based on students’ needs. Our tutors have not only outstanding academics, test preparation backgrounds, but also the ability to teach and motivate students effectively. All tutors are rigorously screened, trained, and evaluated. Our tutors work closely with students to find their strengths and weaknesses, and track progress and modify the goals as the go.
Tutoring sessions are flexible. They can take place either at your home or online via Skype. We match students with tutors based on academic needs. Also, if students or tutors need to adjust the schedule, they can always do so by contacting us.
Tutors will submit their lesson plans prior to the sessions, and submit student progress report every five sessions, so that parents know how their children benefit from tutoring.

* High School Subjects Tutoring International students may struggle with high school courses during their study. Lots of students have reported that they need help in subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, History, and Science. Our tutors also provide help in other high school subjects. Tutors use the high school textbooks as guidelines, align their sessions with school curriculum, and prepare students for the school quizzes, tests, and examinations.
* AP/CP Courses Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. College Preparatory (CP) courses contain a larger than typical course load and prepare students for college caliber work, but do not provide college course credits. These courses are more difficult than the regular courses. Students who do well in regular courses may find it much harder when studying AP/CP course. But don’t worry; AnB has the right tutors to help students master AP/CP courses with years of experience in teaching or tutoring AP/CP courses.
* Test Preparation(e.g. TOEFL, SAT, ACT, etc.) When applying to colleges in the U.S., international students have to take not only SAT/ACT test, but also Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). In addition, some schools require SAT II, ACT writing, and more tests. What should students do when preparing for each test? How to cope with the busy schedule without being stressed? Having an experienced tutor will help you solve the problems and get ready for the big tests!
* ESL Reading / Writing / Speaking / Listening For students who just came to the U.S., or students who are having trouble understanding English in class or at host family, AnB provides tutoring for English as A Second Language (ESL). Our ESL tutors graduate from certified college programs and have license in teaching English. With the help of our tutors, English won’t be the barrier on the way to student success in the U.S.
